1. Who we are
PageScribe ("we", "us", "our") is a document processing service available at pagescribe.app. We help you extract text from documents and analyse them using AI. Questions about this policy can be sent to support@pagescribe.app.
2. What we collect
- Account information – your name and email address when you register.
- Documents – files you upload (PDFs and images) and the text extracted from them.
- Usage data – pages processed, analyses run, and your subscription tier.
- Payment information – handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store your card details.
3. How we use your data
- To provide the service – extracting text from your documents and running AI analysis.
- To manage your account and subscription.
- To send transactional emails (password resets, receipts). We do not send marketing emails.
4. Third parties who process your data
We share data with third-party service providers only as needed to deliver the service:

Important: When you run an AI analysis, the text content of your document is sent to xAI (Grok) for processing. Please do not upload documents containing medical records, payment card data, or other sensitive regulated information.
5. Data retention
Your documents and extracted text are stored until you delete them or close your account. You can delete individual documents at any time from your documents page.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You can delete individual documents directly in the app. To request deletion of your entire account and all associated data, email support@pagescribe.app and we will process your request within 30 days.
If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Security
Your files are stored with server-side encryption. Access is restricted to your account via authenticated, time-limited URLs. We do not sell your data.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
